2° CIRCOLO DIDATTICO DON SAVERIO VALERIO, GRAVINA IN PUGLIA, ITALY

In our school there are 75 teachers and 751 pupils, one Primary school and three Kindergartens.Don Saverio Valerio Primary School is located in a suburban area, one Kindergarten is in the same building, the other two are situated in the center of town. Our school has got comfortable admission for disabled people. The three neighbourhoods, include families from different social backgrounds. In the suburban area, there are many families with precarious work situations, lower middle-class people from different cultural profiles and extra-communitarian families. Most pupils are at the risk of social exclusion not only because they have different culture but also they belong to lower social classes. They have problems as unemployment and micro-crime, the cultural education of the parents is also various, few are still the graduates parents. In both level of schools there are disabled pupils. In the territory of Gravina, however, numerous educational opportunities are offered by Cultural and Musical associations. The presence of a natural wood , an archaeological museum, a library and an art gallery, as well as the richness and beauty of the natural heritage and landscape of our country. Our institution wants to take part in European cooperation activities because we’d like to be in European Union process and to let our pupils to know better about the European Union active citizenship and create a common knowledge, especially for disabled, disadvantaged and immigrant pupils. Our institution wants to optimize the use of human and material resources to meet the needs and expectations of students and their families and inspired by the fundamental principles established in the Constitution relating to education and the right to study and recognizes the centrality of each child.

 

SCOALA GIMNAZIALA NICOLAE TITULESCU, CARACAL, ROMANIA

Our school, which has the name of the illustrious diplomat Nicolae Titulescu (1882 – 1943), receives its pupils and students with the experience of over 30 years of hard work and passion. It is situated in Caracal, a town in Olt County, in the South – West of the country, 173 km from Bucharest, the capital of Romania.
In our school, there are three forms of education: preschool education (3 – 5 years old), primary school – traditional and step by step (6 – 10 years old), and middle school (11 – 15 years old). The students who participate in our Erasmus+ Project are 11 – 13 years old.
Școala Gimnazială ”Nicolae Titulescu” is a state school and has 805 pupils and students. The classes are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm for kindergarten and from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm for primary and middle school. The classes are 50 minutes each, and the breaks are 10 minutes. English is the first foreign language and it is studied in primary and middle school. The second foreign language is French.

 

OSNOVNA ŠOLA BELTINCI, BELTINCI, SLOVENIA

The Osnovna šola Beltinci is situated in the northeastern region of Slovenia in the region called Prekmurje. The school is situated in a mostly rural area. It is one of the largest schools in our region. This year we have got 621 students who are divided into 27 classes. The students come from eight villages, and a majority of them take a school bus.
Teachers and staff are working hard to enable the students to receive a high quality of education. The students have a vast range of obligatory subjects and extracurricular subjects and activities. They can learn two foreign languages, English and German, sing in the school choir, and play a lot of sports. Each year the students of our school are successful in competitions on the national level and can work on some projects. Our school is also fortunate to be chosen as a partner school of the Goethe Institute to promote the German language.
The school building is divided into two parts – one for the younger students from the first to the fifth class and one for the older students from the sixth to the ninth class.

 

IES ARJÉ, CHAUCHINA, SPAIN

IES Arjé is a Secondary school in a town called Chauchina. This town is 15 km from Granada, a city in the South of Spain, it’s also near the airport.
Granada is famous for its well-known Muslim monument of the century XIII-XIV, “La Alhambra” (fortress, palaces and gardens), and also for the old city “El Albaizyn”. Granada is located at the skirt of the Sierra Nevada, a mountain range with the most southern ski resort in Europe and with the highest peak in the Iberian Peninsula, “Mulhacen” (3478 m). In our school, there are students from 12 to 18 years old; the students participating in our Erasmus project are in the 1st and 2nd year of “ESO” (Secondary Education), so they are the youngest in the school. Of all the subjects they study, some are taught in English like Maths, Art, Physics and Chemistry or History. IES Arjé is a State school and has about 600 students. Our lessons are from 8:15 am to 2:45 pm, with a 30-minute break in the middle.

 

BAKİ GÜNDÜZ ILKOKULU, BEYLIKDÜZÜ, TURKEY

BAKİ GÜNDÜZ PRIMARY SCHOOL is located in Beylikdüzü, İstanbul. İstanbul is known as the capital of the empires. You can visit historical places, museums, mosques and churches. The school was established in 2007. Our school consists of 750 students who are 5 to 10 years old. There are 38 teachers in our school 26 primary school teachers,2 English teachers, one religion teacher, three kindergarten teachers, two counsellor teachers, two assistant managers, and two teachers for exclusive students. The school has a big garden with a dog. There is a small planting area for students. Our school starts at 09:00 till 14:40 with a 40- minute –break at noon. We are participating in the ERASMUS+ Project with our 3rd and 4th-grade students. We are very happy to be a part of this Project.
